Stephanie and Todd's Wedding
I have known Stephanie for a couple of years now and have done several photos shoots with her. So when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was really excited!
Stephanie and Todd were married on a beautiful fall day in October. Their wedding was small and intimate, and limited to family and close friends.
The service was held in the late morning at the elegant Willow Valley Chapel at the Doubletree Resort followed with a luncheon in the Terrace Room and a special performance by Scott Parmer. Stephanie looked gorgeous in tea-length wedding dress and vintage accessories including a birdcage veil, pearls, and gloves. Her make-up and hair were done to perfection by Jacqueline Malocu.
Todd and Stephanie are both musicians and avid readers and they infused many of these personal details into their wedding and lovely reception. I wish them all the best as they begin this new chapter together!

Senior Portraits with Ryan
Ryan is a high school senior and aspiring photographer. One of his favorite places to shoot is Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, which is why we chose it for our destination senior photo shoot. We couldn't have asked for better weather or for a more beautiful time of the year.
As for the shoot itself
We began the shoot in the early morning to take advantage of the beautiful light. We had two wardrobe changes during the shoot which helped maximize our shooting time, but still yielded some different looks for Ryan. I also made sure to include some photos of him in his element, shooting photos with his camera and having some fun.
Posing
I like to start the shoot by suggesting some poses and giving direction until the everyone is a little bit more relaxed and engaged. From there, I always let the subject get comfortable in the pose, crack a joke or two and get some candid shots in between the more posed ones. Ryan's mom Diana was a huge help in getting him to laugh and catching some of those candid moments.

Senior Portraits with Laura
Last year, Laura and I took a trip up to Rock Run in Ralston, PA for her senior photo session. Growing up in Williamsport, PA, summer wasn't summer without at least one trip up to Rock Run to hike along the boulder-strewn banks, take in the scenery, and jump in the icy-cold waters of this remote mountain stream.
Since moving to the Harrisburg area, making time to get up to Rock Run has been difficult, which is why I was so excited when Laura asked me to take her photos there. With a little planning and some good weather, we were able to tap into this beautiful fall setting and produce one of my favorite senior photo sessions to date! We completed the session on a high note by including Laura's boyfriend in some shots near the homestead in Williamsport.

Family Photo Shoot with Jen and Jason
A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting with Jen and Jason and their family. We had the best weather and the kids were in high spirits! We shot at a local farm in Lititz which had a corn field, a traditional red barn, and a spare tractor to ride so there was no shortage of background choices or entertainment for the kids :)

Photo Shoot with Stephanie in Downtown Lancaster
Last fall, I photographed Stephanie in the downtown Lancaster area. Stephanie is an accomplished violin player in the local arts community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the musical duo, Steel and Bow. You can read more about Steel and Bow here.
Stephanie wanted to take some head shots and some more creative shots around the city. We discussed locations and wardrobe before meeting up to near Fulton Theatre to begin the shoot and just had a blast!
